!!! NICE ONE LIZ !!!

Congratulations to Liz Rowley, a tireless coach and organiser for Didsbury Junior Netball Club, for winning the North West Netball Teacher of the Year award.  Liz will be entered for the national competition that will be awarded in September.

Teachers play a crucial role in introducing and inspiring players to the game of netball and many of them achieve this by volunteering their 'out of school' time. This award recognises a teacher who has made an outstanding contribution to the development of netball in school, outside their statutory teaching responsibilities, in the last 12 months.  To be eligible nominees must be attached to a school affiliated to England Netball.

Club registrations

It is appreciated if players arrive five minutes prior to their sessions for registrations – all players must register themselves in before each session for safety reasons. Please note that all jewellery must be removed and we ask the players to refrain from chewing gum during practice. We also ask them to be picked up promptly at the end of each session. If you suddenly find that you are going to be delayed please contact Kevin on 07832233718 likewise if you are unable to attend training please contact your Team Manager prior to training.

Please be assured that no player will be left alone at the Club, could you please ask them to return to the coach if you have not arrived.

We allow up to three try out sessions before we ask that you pay the membership fee. Failure to pay membership after the third session will mean that you will be unable to play, as you will not be insured. Once the girls join the Club they can purchase an official Club dress (£30) for training, matches and tournaments. For training we ask that you wear appropriate kit, this consists of:

The Club is hoping to be able to offer ‘outgrown kit’ at a reduced cost as soon as the girls outgrow them.

The cost of each training sessions is £2.00 (payable at start of session). Players are asked to join one of the squads which are normally up to 12 players which allows some leeway for other commitments eg parties, concerts etc. Once a player has joined one of the teams  they play competitive matches each Sunday at the North West Regional Centre, Reddish Vale High School, Reddish Vale, Stockport. Each player then pays £16 a month, which covers the matches and training.
