Welcome to Didsbury Netball Club and thank you for visiting our website.
Didsbury Netball Club was formed in 1995 out of St. Catherine’s School, Didsbury and originally had just one team. Over the last 25 years we have grown into a club which offers netball training and match play for girls from Year 3 to Year 13. We currently have 16 teams who play in the Stockport League as well as teams who represent the club in the Cheshire Junior Netball League.
As a parent, I know from experience the positives of netball for both physical and mental health. My involvement with netball started as a direct result of the participation of my own daughters and I am proud to be the chair of this friendly and inclusive club.
Our underpinning principles are enjoyment, development and commitment. We want all our members to enjoy their time with Didsbury Netball Club whether they are players, volunteers, coaches, umpires or committee members. We are also committed to developing all of our members both as netballers and as people. Finally we ask for commitment not just to training and matches but also to each other.
The club would not exist without the support of many volunteers: committee members, coaches, umpires and team managers to name some of the roles and there is always room for more. You don’t need to have previous experience to get involved so please just ask.
I hope that you find the information you are looking for here but if there is anything else you need to know, please just get in touch.

Covid Statement – February 2021
Following the government’s announcement on Monday 22nd February 2021, the club is currently unable to offer in-person training or matches for any of our age groups.
However, the government’s road map indicates that we will be able to offer outdoor netball from Monday 29th March and indoor sessions from Monday 12th April.
We are working hard to secure venues to enable all our players to get back to netball as soon as possible and will be letting members know once those plans are in place.
As a club, we will adhere to both government and England Netball guidelines to ensure our return to netball is safe.
