Players Code of Conduct

Player Code of Conduct
  1. All players are expected to attend their weekly training sessions, on time for your session and be ready to train.

  2. If, for some reason, you cannot attend training, let your TM & coach know in advance.

  3. Coaches must be notified in plenty of time of any training absences. A phone call or text message during training or after the session is not seen as sufficient time, although each situation will be viewed on its merits. Our coaches are volunteers and give up their time to support our club.

  4. If the player misses training without any prior notice, or without any explanation, they may have less court time at the Sunday’s game. This is at the discretion of the coach.

  5. Let your coach know if you have any injuries/illness prior to training or match.

  6. Attend training in training kit: Club dress or dark top, dark skirt or shorts and white socks. Appropriate trainers must be worn (not leisure shoes).

  7. Fingernails must be cut short and all jewellery removed. Hair must be tied back.

  8. Hydration is very important. It is YOUR responsibility to bring sufficient fluids to training sessions. NO fizzy drinks and scheduled toilet breaks will be given.

  9. Respect your coach and who you are training with.

  10. MOBILE PHONES SHOULD NOT BE USED DURING TRAINING UNLESS THERE IS AN EMERGENCY.

  11. Sweets and chewing gum MUST NOT be eaten during training.

  12. All personal equipment must be taken care of at all times. Please do not bring items of value to training or matches. Didsbury NC cannot be held responsible for damage to or loss of any personal items.

  13. Discipline is extremely important and disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.

  14. Any player who is found to be disrupting training will be verbally warned. This will be recorded by the coaching staff with a note of the player/s involved. If the disruption reoccurs, the player’s parents/guardians will receive written notification and the matter will be reported to the Club’s committee. If the disruption continues it will result in the committee terminating the player’s membership of the club.
