PLAYER WELFARE AT DIDSBURY

We all have a duty to protect and safeguard children to create a safe environment for our children to enjoy their netball. Their safety and welfare is paramount. Didsbury Junior Netball Club takes the health and welfare of its junior and senior members very seriously. As Didsbury’s Safe Guarding Officer it is their responsibility to ensure we adhere to the all England Safeguarding Guidelines.

Rachel Birks is Didsbury’s Safe Guarding Officer and can be contacted by emailing; safeguarding@didsburynetball.co.uk

In addition to safeguarding, it is also important that we respect others. Social Networking Sites are now the norm for young people, and we cannot think that clubs across the netball community will be immune from rumours and innuendos that might appear in one form or another.

As Didsbury’s Safe Guarding Officer Rachel will endeavour to support you with any issues, but it is important that everyone, including players, take personal responsibility for their own actions.

Please feel free to approach Rachel if you have any concerns about the health and welfare of any of our Club members. Safeguarding is everyone’s business
